A calendar Curio creates is identical to one created in iCal. We're both using Apple's public CalendarStore framework.
Do you see those Curio To-Dos in iCal's "To Do Items" panel? If they appear in there, then they should appear on the new iPods, I assume.
Remember that some items in Curio will appear as iCal events while others will appear as iCal tasks. Here's the quote from the user manual:
Curio will create a new calendar within iCal using the projectʼs name. Items in Curio will appear in iCal using the following logic:
• Any task that has a start date will be added to iCal as an iCal calendar event.
• Else if any task that has an unchecked checkbox next to it or only has a due date will be added to iCal as an iCal to-do item. |

This is the strange thing George - there's no obvious difference between the calendars. The Curio created calendar I experimented with had to-do's rather than events. iTunes shows the calendars which are available for Sync & the 'Curio Cal' is there - but it doesn't make it to the ipod. If I create a calendar from within iCal that is seen both in iTunes & the in the iPod.
I've just created a test calendar from Curio with a single event & no to-do's - that doesn't show on the ipod either.
There's something going on with the calendar created via Curio - but what that is I suspect will turn out to be very obscure and perhaps only remediable by Apple - like you say - Curio's just using the facilities they provide.
Maybe it's worth mentioning - it is possible to drag Curio to-do items into a locally created calendar in iCal - then they show on the ipod. But that causes its own issues & is a bit convoluted.
Anyway - it seems pen & paper still have a place in my workflow! |

| Very odd! I hope that Apple opens up the secret to making to-dos on the iPod (and iPhone one day) to the rest of us! |

Hey George,
Impressed with new features of Curio 7 but still have not found a good way to sync tasks with iPhone/iPad.
Wondered if you had noticed Appigo's new task syncing service?
https://appigotodo.appspot.com/
If there was a way to use their service with Curio to get tasks and subtasks to their mobile app, it would solve my biggest project management frustration.
It would be great if fields for their metadata could be integrated with tasks in Curio.
Thanks for all you do,
Russ |

A while back I did a bunch of testing with Curio's iCal sync along with Appigo Sync and Appigo Todo. The combination of products worked wonderfully. The Appigo Sync product keeps iCal and Todo in sync so works essentially as a conduit for Curio to Todo.
Since the new Appigo Todo Online works with Appigo Sync as well I bet it'd work very well with Curio right out of the box. |

It does work out of the box.
What keeps it from being a truly elegant, complete solution for me though is that hierarchal relationships between tasks are lost from Curio to Todo.
Curio supports subtasks and Appigo's Todo supports subtasks but iCal does not support them.
The most structure that you can utilize is that Curio's projects equals an iCal calendar which equals an Appigo list.
Is it possible to work with Appigo in a way that would allow a hierarchical structure within a project to be preserved as a list or project in the Todo app?
It would also be very helpful to be able to pass the appropriate fields for phone numbers, emails, and web pages for corresponding task types? |

Juts to chime in on the iphone.
I use it primarily to grab notes on the go as well as read notes from classes in curio (search my keywords, create a new idea on the go, etc).
Maybe just a simple read/note taking app? Something like the (future) ipad version but in a simpler form (a compatible ipad/iphone app).
I know there is evernote, but I just do not like it .... I like to sync personal stuff locally (a la Bento per example). |

I've found that generally, there's not that much that I'm jotting down on my phone that I'm really all that uncomfortable with Evernote holding onto.
If you're willing to plunk down a few bucks (5 if memory serves), check out AwesomeNote. While it's most useful when you sync it with evernote or google docs, you can just store everything within the app and just email yourself any note that you store in the app, and you can password protect folders in the app. It's a great little iOS app. There's actually a free version of it as well so you can try it out before you buy. |

Curious if new release of Mac desktop Todo client from Appigo will help make integration of Curio and Appigo's Todo tighter?
Apparently this release is hugely successful in the Mac App store already.
This will encourage most Appigo users to use this client instead of syncing iCal tasks through Appigo Sync.
This breaks the current connection between Curio and Todo but I wonder if there is a possibility for Curio to directly sync with the new Appigo Todo Mac app.
Perhaps the limitations of iCal to preserve hierarchy with tasks might be removed in a direct sync with new Appigo client? |

| Hmm... for syncing right now all Appigo lists is via the Toodledo.com website but I'll certainly check into it. |

Can you tell me if this is bi-directional sync. So if I wanted to add something to the ical would it show up in curio even though this is now on mobile me?

| It's not bi-directional, mainly be causes there's no place in Curio for that new item to magically appear. |
