You can enter LaTeX math equations directly into Curio's markdown text figures.
Block equations ($$⏎...⏎$$), inline equations (\(...\), $...$), and math code blocks (```math⏎...⏎```) are all supported.
Plus you can use Curio's Equation Editor to insert and edit your LaTeX equations and take advantage of its handy live rendering preview.
Curio Professional supports Mermaid diagrams, a popular and extensible diagramming format. You can drag in Mermaid files or Paste As > Mermaid Diagram to instantly see a rendered diagram.
Mermaid markdown code blocks are also supported so your markdown text figures can include Mermaid diagrams as well.
Lastly, you can also drag Mermaid files to the Organizer where they are dynamically rendered within a live web view.
Curio Professional supports language-specific syntax coloring within ```language⏎...⏎``` markdown code blocks.
Markdown block quotes can be specified as note, tip, important, warning, caution, or custom title callouts.
Use markdown horizontal rules to add heavy, regular, and light horizontal lines within your markdown text.
Compositions is Curio’s most powerful type of collection figure. Unlike other collections, this über collection is designed to contain and organize other collections and even other compositions!
Mix and match any figures—text, images, lists, tables, mind maps—plus other collections within a single composition. Create sophisticated layouts like a tabloid composition containing several text figures, images, and a matrix composition with its own grid of organized content.
Tabloid compositions offer flexible row and column layouts that automatically adjust as you add, remove, and resize content. Simply drag-and-drop to create dynamic arrangements.
Matrix compositions provide structured grid layouts with resizable columns and rows. Double-click any cell to edit text instantly, or drag any content onto cells to replace them.
Curio Professional supports sync files, an incredibly flexible method to sync the contents of text figures and list, mind map, stack, and table collection figures to external files, either bidirectionally, export only, or import only.
Text figures can sync with md files; list, mind map, and stack collections can sync with lists in md, opml, or taskpaper files; table collections can sync with tables in md, csv, or tsv files.
Markdown for collections is especially powerful as meta and images are supported.
These sync files can be located anywhere on your system, including within a synced iCloud or Dropbox folder or Obsidian vault. The file syncing occurs instantly when a change is detected either to the figure or the sync file.
